1、 Material composition and properties

Aluminum forgings:

Material: Mainly made of aluminum alloy, it has the characteristics of lightweight, high strength, and corrosion resistance.

Performance: Due to the forging process, the microstructure of aluminum forgings is denser and the grain spacing is smaller, resulting in higher strength and hardness. At the same time, aluminum forgings also have good toughness and fatigue resistance.


Ordinary forged products:

Material: It can be made of various metals, such as carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, etc.

Performance: Although ordinary forged products also undergo forging processes, their performance varies depending on the material. Generally speaking, forging can improve the density and mechanical properties of materials, but the specific properties depend on the type of raw materials and the parameters of the forging process.

2、 Manufacturing process

Aluminum forgings:

Forging process: Aluminum forgings require multiple extrusions and sheet metal processing, making the process relatively complex. Meanwhile, due to the low melting point of aluminum alloy, it is necessary to strictly control the temperature and pressure during the forging process to avoid material damage caused by overheating and overpressure.

Subsequent processing: Aluminum forgings usually require heat treatment after forging to eliminate forging stress and improve the cutting and mechanical properties of the material.


Ordinary forged products:

Forging process: The manufacturing process of ordinary forged products is relatively simple and can be made through simple processes such as cutting, stamping, and welding. During the forging process, temperature and pressure parameters can be adjusted as needed to obtain the desired shape and size.

Subsequent processing: Ordinary forged products may also require heat treatment or other subsequent processing after forging to improve material performance and meet design requirements.
