Nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum grade, Alloy X offers outstanding strength and corrosion resistance at temperature up to 1093°C
A solid solution strengthening grade, Alloy X has good strength and corrosion resistance in reducing carburising atmospheres.
Alloy X has excellent resistance to reducing and carburizing atmospheres, making it suitable for furnace components. Due to its high molybdenum content, Alloy X may be subject to catastrophic oxidation at 1204°C.

The alloy has good high temperature strength coupled with oxidation resistance up to 1093°C.
This Alloy is readily weldable using matching filler wires. After severe forming, fabrications may be annealed at 1177°C, 15 minutes per 1/8″ of thickness, rapid air cool.
Density:8.221g/cm³
Melting range:1260-1354°C
Product characteristics
Excellent antioxidant properties at temperatures up to 1200 ℃
Good high-temperature strength
Good formability and weldability
Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking
Due to its corrosion resistance in various atmospheres at high temperatures and excellent high-temperature strength, HastelloyX has been widely used in various high-temperature environments.
Typical application areas:
Industrial and aviation steam turbines (combustion chambers, rectifiers, structural covers)
Industrial furnace components, support rollers, grid plates, ribbons, and radiation tubes
Spiral tubes in petrochemical furnaces
High temperature gas cooled nuclear reactor
